The head of the “Albania becomes empty” movement, Adriatik Lapaj said in the studio of the “Review” show on Euronews Albania that small towns have been emptied.
He said that many people have fled and to understand this it is enough to move outside of Tirana. According to him, people are fleeing because of bad policies, which have been worse than those of the invaders. Asked if we should have a figure for the population as a result of the Census, Lapaj answered:
“You don’t know? Move to Albania, or just stay in Tirana? There is no need for the Census to understand that Albania is empty. I tell you with full responsibility that small towns in Albania are almost empty, not to scare anyone, but that’s the truth. Memaliaj, Rrësheni, Delvina, Pogradeci is also catching up, they are no longer young. At the beginning of the transition, people had hope, but it took too long. Now it has become fashionable. This did not happen to our nation or to the invaders. Most of my classmates are not in Albania. It is enough for everyone to make this statistic and understand it”, said Adriatik Lapaj.
