The Prosecutor’s Office of Tirana has issued a statement regarding the progress of the investigation into the incident of January 21, 2011, where citizens Ziver Veizi, Faik Myrtaj, Hekuran Deda and Aleks Nika were killed during a protest called by the SP.

The prosecution informs that the investigations so far have not been able to find out who are the people who killed the citizens Aleks Nika and Hekuran Deda. “In the function of the investigations carried out by the prosecutor, it has been decided to evaluate and examine the evidence seized during the investigation of the scene and the investigation of the victim, addressing the competent foreign authorities, of which due to the sensitivity and nature of the case confidentiality is requested. Remembering the respect of the guarantees of a process that is under investigation, we inform you that during the investigations that will be carried out, the acts of the European Court for Human Rights, which are related to this criminal proceeding, will be taken into account,” it is already stated others in the statement of the Prosecutor’s Office of Tirana.
