Journalist Aida Topalli was invited this morning to the show “7pa5” on Vizion Plus, where she talked about one of the illegal activities that has spread quite recently.
Massage centers that also offer sexual services have been the focus of the police in the past year, when they were at their peak.
Topalli showed that it is enough to write on the website of these centers, which have already begun to hide their activity better.
“It is enough to write on the website that they may have, leave the schedule and receive the service and they usually ask you if you want a normal service or with a “happy ending”.
In 2023 was the peak of massage centers, which had the peak but also the most drastic decline. What is new is that today in Tirana we no longer find such squares. Today you must have a friend and go with complete trust. It turns out that they have moved to the suburbs. They have started to be protected like any other illegal act”, said Topalli.
She indicated that these centers have also spread to other cities and one case that impressed her is Thumana.
“We also have massage centers in Thumana. There are such massage centers in other big cities such as Durrës, Elbasan, Shkodra. There is also in Vlora, but what surprised me is Thumana. Customers who are not local and don’t want to be known usually go there,” said the journalist.
Topalli also emphasized that the reasons that push the girls working in these centers to offer such services are mainly economic.
“I had to talk to understand the social part as well, why they do it, especially when there were 16, 17-year-old girls and when you’re that age you don’t understand and you’re very easily manipulated.
The reasons are mainly economic. There are girls who come from poor families, there are girls who do a normal job and do this job for some extra money. I am convinced that none of them do it willingly, they do it for economic reasons”, said Topalli, while adding that the payments range from 50,000 old lek to 100,000 old lek per client.
She said, among other things, that there are boys in Albania who offer such services, although many times less than girls, but not in massage centers.
“There are also boys who offer such sexual services in Albania, but they are many times less than girls. They are men like escort girls. I don’t know of cases where we have men working in massage centers in exchange for a sexual favor,” said Topalli.
