The former Minister of Defense, Fatmir Mediu, spoke to the media after leaving the GJKKO, where he invited all witnesses to testify and tell the truth.
Mediu said that today’s witnesses were divided into two groups, witnesses who were part of the ammunition price commission and witnesses who were part of the ammunition categorization.
According to Mediu, in the end it turned out that the Minister of Defense of that time did nothing but implement the law.
“The witnesses were two groups, witnesses who were part of the ammunition price commission and witnesses who were part of the categorization of ammunition, as well as those who prepared the VKM and the orders.
It became clear that there was no indication or harassment from the Minister of Defense to push either the VKM or the orders or to influence their decision-making.
One important thing became clear, the separation of civilians from the military. It also became clear that the circulation of goods within the Ministry of Defense is done without payment, a process that shows that the minister has not done anything else, except the implementation of the law.
I hope that in the next session everyone will come and testify,” said Mediu.
