Lawyer Genc Gjokutaj participated in the protest that took place in support of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, below the latter’s apartment.
He stated that the process against Berisha is political and swore in front of the former prime minister’s supporters that they will soon release him from house arrest.
Gjokutaj also commented on today’s decision to postpone the hearing against Berisha that would consider the appeal of SPAK’s decision not to allow him in the Assembly, where he said that the goal is to burn the mandate.
“We have made a request for Berisha to go to the parliament, where the leader of freedom has his place. This is a request that the law requires, that obliges the court to do it. They postponed it because there was no notification after Berisha. Whereas in October there was a notification when there was no notification. This is a scenario of SPAK with GJKKO with the political goal implemented by a legal instrument for burning the mandate. I denounce this process of the leader of democracy within a reasonable time.
For the fourth time today, we asked for the dismissal of a judge who entered the sea on foot by political order. We will continue and win this war, because there are no criminal cases, but political ones.
