Dear Mr. Secretary,
President Biden, You and Your administration successfully dealt with the worst pandemic in a century.
You accomplished perhaps the greatest redistribution of wealth ever recorded in history through direct social transfers to households.
You experienced one of the strongest recoveries of the US economy in decades.
You managed to get to the full employment equilibrium in the economy, which until now we had only seen in macroeconomics textbooks.
You held the world together for the Ukraine war.
But despite all this, you will have a very, very difficult time winning a second term. The polls even say that you are a loser today.
From here it is not known exactly that people died from the epidemic.
It is not known how many thousands of families fell into poverty because there were no social transfers.
We don’t know how many of us have taken detours around the world.
We don’t even know how long we have left here because some madwoman over there at INSTAT (Instat is our statistics office) has locked the census results in a drawer and won’t publish them.
But despite these, we do not question the victory at all. Not the second term like you there, but the fourth, after that the fifth and so on.
Since the road fell here and since you have more experience with these matters of democracy, can you explain a little about this democracy of ours?
Ah, yes. We have some achievements that you cannot have.
We have built incinerators that do not exist. We have check-ups that burden men, we have sterilization concessions and many innovative instruments that evaporate public money.
Apart from these, we give free state land for tourist ports. We build an Eco-Park in Porto Romano, we make rings with companies that forge the signatures of your secretaries, etc., etc.
Are you a bit behind with democracy there? Shouldn’t you be looking for some advice here on how to improve your democracy?
Maybe you should start with some incinerator concessions first. Then one after the other, the ports, the airports, the health care… maybe that’s how you’ll win the elections easily.
If not, ask for advice once during the meetings you will have here because we are experts in these matters./KAPITALI
