The head of the PDIU, invited to the News 24 studio, expressed that he welcomes the union of the two parts of the opposition with other parties and calls for the other part to join and sit down to bring a real governing alternative.
He says that he is disappointed with what has been done in these 34 years, failing to bring its opposite with much effort.
Idrizi says that on February 20, the monument to the dictator Enver Hoxha was torn down, and this seems to be the symbolism of setting this date, adding that he was informed about this protest through television.
Regarding his participation, Idrizi said that since it is the 80th anniversary of the Cham massacre, he is busy with some activities and will not be there.
“On February 20, the dictator’s monument was torn down and due to the hunger strike of the students, the name of Enver Hoxha was removed.
I’m disappointed how we can’t build up the opposite of what we tore down with so much effort.
For me, it is important that we return to real symbolism, that in these 34 years we could not do something different.
I welcome the union of the two parts of the opposition with other parties, we call for the other part to join as well, to sit down and discuss the future.
If we can’t build a programmatic content, give answers to questions about how we will be an alternative government, we haven’t done anything at all.
As a citizen, I would find a reason to protest, but I found out from the television that there is a protest. But due to the fact that it is the 80th anniversary of the Chameria massacre, I am busy and will not be able to be present,” said Idrizi.
