The murder of Pëllumb Meta about a month ago is accompanied by great dilemmas. For this event, his three children were put in handcuffs, who are accused of murder and then hiding and disposing of the body. The sister of the deceased directly accuses Pëllumbi’s wife, but raises doubts that a person outside the family may also be involved.
But this thesis is rejected by the former head of the State Police, Arjan Hoxha and former prosecutor Elisabeta Imeraj.
Invited to the show “Open” on News24, they say that the children acted in unison, so it was not necessary to involve a fifth person.
Arjan Hoxha: Seeing that they are in unison in their actions within the family, I do not believe that the presence of another person outside the family was necessary, because their actions before, during and after the commission of the criminal offense say that despite the changes in the evidence it is a closed cycle between them in terms of elucidating or shedding light on the author and the motive. I have few doubts about the involvement of another person outside the family. Looking at the actions they have carried out, the alibi that will be eaten, I do not believe that the presence of another person is necessary.
Elisabeta Imeraj: I also believe that the presence of another person was not necessary. The unity in which they appear in their actions, the solidarity they have in defending the thesis, despite the fact that sometimes they present engagement, sometimes violence… the reasons are different. But within their actions there is not another person. It would be impossible for all 4 family members to come together to protect another person outside their family.
