The Head of Road Traffic in Lezhë has been suspended from his duties by a court decision. According to News24, it is about Ismet Sula, who allegedly favored Tom Doshi’s son in an accident.
Also, it is reported that the management structure of the Lezhë Local Police Directorate has been put under investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office.
The decision was taken after the start of the investigation regarding an accident that happened a few days ago on the Lezhë-Laç national road.
In this accident, the son of former deputy Tom Doshi was involved, who crashed into another vehicle where a married couple was traveling.
According to the investigations, Tom Doshi’s son was guilty, but he was helped and favored by the police to leave the scene. Investigations will continue to find out if the police have acted according to the law.
The operatives are accused of “abuse of duty”. Meanwhile, the prosecution is also investigating the chiefs and other leaders of the Lezha police to find out who ordered the favoring of Tom Doshi’s son.
