Perhaps in the future, due to advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI), none of us will need work anymore, but the biggest challenge will be finding the meaning of life, said American entrepreneur Elon Musk.

During a video conference at Vivatech in Paris, he explained that “universal basic income” is necessary to achieve such a future.

According to Musk, people will be able to work only if they want to, but it will not be necessary.

“If you want to do a job as a hobby, you can, but AI and robots will produce all the goods and provide all the services you need,” said the Tesla founder.

He also expressed his concern about the advancement of AI and advised parents to monitor their children’s use of social media, as these platforms are “designed by AI to maximize dopamine production.” Musk has previously stated that AI more intelligent than humans will be available by 2026.

Baidu CEO Robin Li expressed a different view at the Vivatech conference, saying that today’s most advanced AI models are still far from reaching human intelligence.

Li believes it will take at least ten years for AI to catch up and surpass human intelligence.

Alternatively, Artificial Intelligence is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems. Specific applications of AI include expert systems, natural language processing, speech recognition, and machine vision.
