Analyst Lutfi Dervishi has stated that corruption is a key problem that affects every Albanian.
Dervishi made the comments in Euronews Albania, where he commented on the findings of the “Barometer” on the citizens’ opinion on the economic situation in the country.
Dervishi said the government’s anti-corruption resolution is meaningless, as according to him, no one has prevented the ruling party from fighting corruption.
“Corruption here is a hailstorm that everyone not only sees, but also feels. This part of the propaganda may have had a little influence, because it could have been even higher in the poll. It is an important issue because it affects everyone. From the state capture to the corrupt stories happening here.
It is an Albanian ‘Guiness’ that no longer surprises. It turns a little into cynicism. Who prevented this government during these 10 years from fighting corruption and now creating a special commission to fight it efficiently.
It is not SPAK to fight corruption. The antidote to corruption is good governance and transparency. SPAK has been punishing for 2-3 years, but it is not that there is a contraction. What you think is unimaginable becomes inevitable”, said Dervishi.
