The head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, during the report to the Parliament of the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, made it a fact that the latter received a message from Prime Minister Edi Rama, through a public official, where has asked to close as soon as possible the case of the cocaine laboratory in Xibraka, where it is suspected that Olsi Rama, the brother of the head of the Government, is also implicated.
Bardhi asked Dumani what answer he gave to the prime minister and how much this message will affect the investigation of this file. The head of SPAK stated that he does not pronounce because this matter is under investigation.
Dumani emphasized that his relations with the Government and the Assembly are only institutional and procedural, as according to him, he does not receive and convey any kind of message.
Gazment Bardhi: It turns out that Prime Minister Edi Rama, through a public functionary citizen, I don’t want to mention his name but I know who it is about, has forwarded a message requesting that the ‘Xibraka Case’ ‘closes a bit too soon’. Appreciating the integrity of the Head of SPAK, and avoiding your comments on the Prime Minister’s actions, you should inform the Parliament of Albania about the answer you gave to the Prime Minister and do you give a guarantee as the head of the Prosecutor’s Office that this private message from the Prime Minister does not would it affect your work, as required by law?
Altin Dumani: I cannot give any comment because it is under investigation. Regarding the relationship of the prime minister or any other official, my relationships are only institutional and procedural. Institutional when the institutions need to cooperate and procedural when any of them needs to be called in the capacity of the declared, the person being investigated, or in the capacity of the defendant. I do not receive or forward any kind of message. I exercise my duties in accordance with the constitution and legal provisions. This is my relationship with everyone without exception.
