Professor of Criminology, Ervin Karamuço, gave a strong warning to the State Police, after numerous criminal events that occurred during the summer season.
According to Karamuço, the director of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, is expected to be dismissed in the coming days, as many criminal events have remained unsolved.
“11 murders (during the season), it was two or three years since we had this number. 38 people before the end of September, there are problems in the control of the territory, most of them could have been prevented, the factors during the tourist season are increased, but this does not mean that we keep the police asleep. While we have increasing numbers, there are injuries, deaths of tourists in accidents, but these are numbers that should alarm us, not good work by the police.
We are not the only ones who have this during the seasons, many countries in the Mediterranean have it, we were 6th in the level of criminality, we will increase in ranking with the reduction of the population. Wait for the dismissal of Rrumbullak, there will be dismissals, changes of the entire dome, it is not that this one is at fault or that one is at fault, but to give a re-energization of all this, I expected it since the time of the minister Balla but let it be promising that it will be in the following weeks”, said Karamuço for Top Channel.
