The Parliament of Albania has fined some of the opposition MPs, after incidents caused by the burning of chairs during plenary sessions.
According to the invoice, the damages caused are in the amount of 764,922 thousand ALL.
Responsible for the damages are the MPs Gazmend Bardhi, Flamur Noka, Bledion Nallbati and Elda Hoti, who will pay as follows:
– Gazment Bardhi must compensate damages worth 209,175 ALL.
-Flamur Noka must compensate damages worth 187,455 ALL.
-Bledion Nallbati Nallbati must compensate damages worth 187,455 ALL.
-Elda Elda Hoti must compensate damages worth 180.837 ALL.
Democratic MPs have until November 20 to pay the fee, otherwise the money will be deducted from their salary.
The deputies of the Democratic Party burned the chairs of the Assembly on September 30, in protest after the prison sentence by the Court of Appeal of their colleague, Ervin Salianji. A week later, the opposition organized a national protest in Tirana.
