In an interview for the show “3D by Alban Dudushi”, Dumani said that SPAK is independent of politics and that his reactions are not emotional.
Asked if the upcoming elections will affect the investigations, Dumani said that they will not stop and that this is their job.
Excerpt from the interview
Altin Dumani: We have not received. We have not closed the offices and there will be no cases. This is our job. To investigate. The moment the investigation matures and the level of evidence is mature enough to proceed with a security measure or the defendant is released, you will have news. We are at work.
There have been rumors that starting in January you will start to slow down due to the electoral campaign since the elections are in the spring.
Altin Dumani: “If crime takes a break during the electoral campaign, we slow down. Any kind of crime. Crime is also corruption in elections, and corruption of officials. We are fulfilling our functions. We do not depend on the weather conditions or the appetite of the different currents that may be in the country
Another year’s term as head of SPAK, what then?’
Altin Dumani: I will continue to be a prosecutor in the special prosecutor’s office. I will have more opportunities to be in the courtroom. I feel better there than here, in the studio. I will continue to function as a prosecutor normally.
