Fatos Lubonja spoke today to News 24 regarding the fate of Parashqevi Simaku, without showing any empathy.
The Albanian singer returned to the center of attention after the publication of the video where she appeared poor and homeless on the streets of New York.
After the publication of the video, the reaction of Albanians was immediate on social networks.
But for analyst Lubonja, the reaction of Albanians to Simaku is a culture that, according to him, characterizes our country.
He called the mobilization of Albanians for Parashqevi Simaku “like the culture of Big Brother”, since most Albanians deal with rumors, said Lubonja.
The analyst described the great noise around the case as hysteria, while expressing that in his opinion Parashqevi Simaku was not an icon.
“Most Albanians deal with rumors, this is the culture of Big Brother. Now they are dealing with the fate of one person, while there are thousands of Albanians who have left and each has had their own fate.
But these are dealing with the fate of Parashqevië. It may be news, but we have hysteria. In my opinion, Parashqevi Simaku was not an icon. Albania was taken over by the same cultural elite that built the socialist realisation”, said Lubonja.
