The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, said on the Now show on Euronews Albania that the only reason why he did not go to meet Ilir Meta in prison like he did with Ervin Salianji is purely procedural.
Berisha said that he was interested in meeting Meta, but he was told that he is in pre-trial detention and meetings are not allowed.
“I would go to meet Ilir Meta 10 times, but they claim that detainees cannot meet. They told me that of course I am interested, but they informed me that he is in pre-trial detention and they do not allow meetings,” Berisha said.
