Altin Dumani, the head of SPAK, spoke for the first time about whether Prime Minister Edi Rama will be summoned to SPAK for the case of former FBI agent, Charles McGonigal.
During a meeting with the students of the University of Shkodra, “Luigj Gurakuqi”, the head of SPAK emphasized that regardless of the name or the power, the most important is the evidence that can be obtained for this person.
Atin Dumani stated that he could not give answers on certain issues, but he announced that everyone will be accountable to SPAK.
From the city of Shkodra, Duman said: “I cannot answer certain questions. It doesn’t matter the name, but the evidence and the power it has doesn’t matter, and at some point it will be necessary for anyone to come and give an account in SPAK or in court”.
Dumani was also asked by the students about the case against the former president Meta, for which he emphasized that it is under investigation and he cannot reveal details.
“Issue under investigation and I cannot give data”, said Dumani.
Q: Will Rama be called in for questioning about the McGonigal case?
Altin Dumani: I cannot answer certain questions. It doesn’t matter the name, but the evidence and the power it has doesn’t matter, and at some point it will be necessary for anyone to come and give an account to the SPAK or the court.
We are sensitive to what happens in the media or anywhere else. Many media in February of last year and until 2-3 months ago we received criticism why we did not register the McGonagra case and all the critics should feel disappointed that we registered it in January 2022. We have to wait for the moment when to have something concrete to publish.
Question: Ilir Meta at what stage is the investigation?
Altin Dumani: The matter is under investigation and I cannot provide information.
