The Socialist Party and “Reestablishment” have agreed during the meeting of the Conference of Chairmen on the establishment of two investigative commissions.

The majority and the opposition, represented by the head of the Gazment Bardhi Group, have agreed on the establishment of Investigative Commissions for concessionary contracts in health and for the leakage of data from the TIMS system.

“As far as the establishment of investigative commissions is concerned, this has been a pseudo-conflict. The request must be made according to the laws and the decision of the Constitutional Court. We have been clear about the adaptation of the facilities of the investigative commissions. If we adjust the objects of requests for investigative commissions as the law requires, we are open to discuss, said the head of the SP Group, Bledi Çuçi, during the meeting.

He further praised the role of the opposition in Parliament, also mentioning laws that require a qualified majority.

“There are a number of laws that must be approved with a qualified majority, such as the criminal amnesty, but also other laws related to the path of integration in the EU and beyond. So the involvement of the opposition is important to have a good product in the finals”, said Çuçi.

Present at the meeting are representatives of SP, Elisa Spiropali, Ermonela Felaj, Bledi Çuçi, Klotilda Bushka, Mimi Kodheli, Arben Pëllumbi, as well as the two vice-presidents of Refoundation, Gazment Bardhi and Agron Gjekmarkaj.
