The leader of the PDIU, Shpëtim Idrizi, was invited to an interview on Euronews Albania to discuss how the coalition will proceed with the 2025 parliamentary elections.
He said that political forces stay in Albanian politics if they have a cause, a specificity.
“I think that a political party is not a job. A political party means to present the reason why you stay in Albanian politics or that with the support of Albanians, you manage to push forward causes or programs that concern Albanians.
We have been harmed. Citizens want the opposition forces to show why they are better than the other side. It is not enough to just denounce or protest, we must have a solution for those things that concern the lives of Albanians,” said Idrizi.
As a direct actor in the elections, the leader of the PDIU said that this small party will find its place even though it has become difficult.
Asked if the PDIU could enter into a coalition with the majority, he said that the latter does not need something like that, that is, a political party.
He then explained that beyond that, the majority has something like that in its hands.
“Both major political forces have wanted the PDIU in coalition for its electoral weight, but have always been afraid because of the causes it carries,” said Shpëtim Idrizi.
