Head of the health department in the Democratic Party, Ilir Alimehmeti, unveiled the health program during a meeting held today.
Alimehmeti said that it is important to double the payment for doctors, but also hundreds of specialist doctors are not paid at all and they are the ones who save people’s lives.
Alimehmeti also said that if we do not support the youth, we will not have a future, our program focuses on people and health.
“It is important to increase the payment, to double it, we remember that there are hundreds of specialists who are not paid at all. These should be introduced, because they work 8 hours a day, save people’s lives, ensure well-being and it is completely illogical and illegal not to pay someone who works. If we do not support the youth, we will not have a future, this is simple for every nation. The territorial distribution of health personnel should be based on a request for proposals and should not be done by order and compulsion. This requires continuous investment in medicine, because medicine never ends, people must be continuously educated with a special focus on specializations outside Albania. Dear friends, the elaboration of the DP program on health will be further detailed, because it is impossible to go into its details in such a short time.
