The political leader of the Democratic Party for Tirana, Belind Këlliçi, has shared details of his visit to the USA, where he was photographed with the former American president, Donald Trump.
Invited to News24, Kelliçi stopped at the allusions that he paid 25 thousand dollars for a photo with Trump, claims which he rejected saying that he did not pay a single penny.
“Zero pennies, I have not paid, neither me nor those around me. I haven’t been to fundraisers, I’ve been to the Trump rally in Michigan. Among other things, he said that in the USA he was in the framework of meetings with Albanians of the diaspora and that with the invitations of the officials of the Republican Party, which is the sister party of the Democratic Party, he had the opportunity to meet with the former American president, Donald Trump.
“The DP is the sister of the Republican Party in the USA. We have bridges of cooperation with this party, as well as congressmen and senators of this party. “Through an invitation that came to me from the Republican Party, I had the opportunity to meet with President Trump,” he said.
“The visit was planned for the vital importance of the votes of the diaspora. I held meetings in the state of Michigan, where there is a large concentration of Albanians, about 150 thousand Albanians. I also felt bad because I met many Democrats who left recently. PD is sister of the Republican Party in the USA. We have cooperation bridges with this party, as well as congressmen and senators of this party. Through an invitation that came to me from the Republican Party, I had the opportunity to meet with President Trump.
