Yesterday, 67-year-old Natasha Rombula and 44-year-old Armando Kumarakun were arrested by the police, this is a very unusual case, since they used a 10-year-old (nephew and son of the arrested), in order to benefit from the social network TikTok.
Sociologist Gëzim Tushi, during a TV interview, spoke about this event and this very disturbing phenomenon.
According to him, the Albanian society is in an extremely difficult situation, precisely because of these situations.
He also said that children today are numb and drugged by TikTok and other media they use, thus creating a social anesthesia.
Gëzim Tushi: “I think that the phenomenon is very disturbing. Albanian society is in an extremely difficult, very delicate situation, perhaps like never before. There are two reasons for this and I think we need to diagnose the causes of this situation. Not only in individual cases, as I have the impression, this poison of interpreting or abusing children, for certain purposes, has already begun to widely capture the body of society. One thing must be understood, it seems clear that in general when the family is destabilized, we will have perverted children.
Very rarely can it happen that a destabilized family has the opportunity to have parenting principles, or parenting quotas, to raise a normal child, to save him from these h*lms, to save him from this social anesthesia of social networks, which is becoming dominant and frightening for children. I’m telling you it’s a social anesthetic! Children are numbed by TikTok and social networks, and they can no longer perceive family interventions, nor school educational interventions, nor interventions, but they are exactly, I would say, distracted by this thing. This phenomenon has become very massive, very widespread.
The main reason, in my opinion, is firstly, the Albanian family. The more the internal instability is increasing and the more the level of increase in the number of divorces is expanding, the consequences that are being caused on the children are always increasing. The consequence, which turns children into social orphans and above all, what is ugly, is the fact that we do not do amicable divorces.
We forget that we are parents, this is a horror of Albanian culture. We in the Balkans have it, more than all of Europe. They divorce everywhere, even there are higher divorce rates than in Albania, but they divorce as spouses, but they don’t divorce as parents, so they bear parental responsibility.
The two sides positively affect the educational way. His father or mother cannot say to him: “Your mother is a monster”, just to arouse her hatred. Imagine, what can happen to a child who has such an aggressive dichotomy from both sides that hit the child, in which he instilled hatred for one or the other? And in these circumstances, such a child of mine is likely to become a victim: a social or individual victim.
