The deputy of the Democratic Party, Dashnor Sula, has reacted after the arrest by the Special Prosecutor’s Office of the acting mayor of the Municipality of Himara, Jorgo Goro, and 4 others, following a report by Fredi Beleri, for abuse of office.
As reported, the arrest of Goro was related to the strategic investment status of Artan Gaçi, the husband of the former Minister of Foreign Affairs Olta Xhaçka.
In a reaction on social networks, the democratic deputy ironized by writing “do those who order corruption have legal responsibility!?”
“All those corrupt acts that Goro and his friend did, for whom did they do them? Do the ordinary officials, but also the local elected officials, have the courage to return their word to the trusted Ministers of the CM?’, he writes.
But do the perpetrators of corruption have legal responsibility!
SPAK arrested yesterday, another elected from among the socialists. And if we count them from 2013 until now, it seems that the number of socialist officials in prison is higher than those outside.
The socialist mayor of Himara, Jorgo Goro, was arrested for abuse of office in connection with the granting of strategic investor status to the husband of a former minister who was in office at the time. Also accused are other local officials who had their role in the falsification of documents.

But in yesterday’s case of SPAK, a link is missing to connect the chain. All those corrupt acts that Goro and his friend did, for whom did they do them? Do ordinary officials but also local elected officials have the courage to speak to the trusted Ministers of the Ministry of Culture? Here is the missing link. Will SPAK go to those who ordered corruption? I congratulate them for the work they have done so far and encourage them to get to the heart of the matter,” Sula wrote.
