The Police Inspector, 38-year-old Ervis Shkurta, was arrested by AMP for selling drugs.
According to the announcement, the arrest of this police officer was made because he was related to the incident that happened two days ago in Tirana, where a trafficker (former head of intercity transport) who had 1 kg of cocaine in his car, was injured after endangering his life of the officers and was arrested together with two other people.
It is learned that he had full knowledge of the persons and the place where the exchange of narcotics would take place.
Sources indicate that on Thursday evening Ervis Shkurta was near the scene and immediately notified the other criminal group, where the three people who were waiting to take the cocaine were arrested, to leave.
For a long time he was associated with criminal groups that dealt with the trafficking and sale of narcotics.
After analyzing the mobile phones of the arrested persons, the name of the operative of the Operational Forces has emerged. Conversations with another person named “Visi i Pazari” were found among the arrested.

The arrest of this police officer was carried out following investigations with special methods, in function of the event dated 21.03.2024, where three citizens were arrested red-handed, suspected of committing the criminal offenses “Production and sale of narcotics”, ” Opposition to the police officer” and “Disobedience to police officers”.
As a result of intensive investigations, it became possible to secure evidence and facts on the suspicions that the police officer, Inspector E. SH, with close social ties to one of the arrested persons, was an active part of ensuring the conditions for trading of the narcotic substance of 1 Kg of suspected cocaine, as well as having full knowledge of the persons and the place where the exchange of the narcotic substance would take place.
