UEFA has decided to exclude the journalist from Kosovo, Arlind Sadiku, from the European championship “Germany 2024”.
The reason for this decision is the gesture of the Albanian journalist in the Serbia-England match played on June 16, who made the eagle symbol with his hands in front of the Serbian fans. Sadik’s gesture came after the racist chants that the Serbs were making against the Albanians, and shouting “Kosovo is Serbia”. After patting his back with his hands, journalist Arlind Sadiku said that “Kosovo is the heart of Albania”.
This gesture of Sadik was seen as a provocation by the Serbian side and they asked UEFA to take action. It is learned that the journalist from Kosovo has been banned from media conferences and cannot report today on the Croatia-Albania match, nor on the confrontations of other teams for the European Championship.
