Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has arrived at SPAK, where he will testify for the first time about the charges for the privatization of the former “Partizani” complex. He is accompanied by his lawyer Genc Gjokutaj.
In front of SPAK, he was greeted with cheers by his supporters, who, together with a group of democrats, are today in front of the Special Prosecutor’s Office.
Berisha told the journalists that today he is in SPAK to denounce Edi Rama.
“The battle with the underworld continues. The opposition will win. I am here today to represent you, to represent the Albanians, to represent pluralism, the Democratic Party! I am here to denounce Edi Rama and the organized criminal group in this building, which engages in battle against pluralism. We will win, victory, victory, victory!”, said Berisha.
Berisha is under house arrest. SPAK accuses the former prime minister of “Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials”, carried out in cooperation with his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezin.
SPAK claims that Berisha, in his capacity as Prime Minister, has favored the privatization procedures of the former “Partizani” complex and the direct beneficiary has been Malltezi.
