The director of the Institute of Statistics, Elsa Dhuli, has revealed that the population and housing census data will be ready for publication in June.
In a statement to the media, Dhuli said that after the end of the census, data on demography, economy, education or health are being processed and will be ready in June
“They will be ready for publication in June. The data will contain information on demographics, economy, education, health, providing statistics for user groups. A strong basis for planning public policies and will help in the development of programs to facilitate the lives of citizens”, said Dhuli.
Dhuli admitted that there were cases when citizens refused to fill out the questionnaire, but did not confirm the fines imposed as the process is still being analyzed.
The 2023 census is the 12th in the history of Albania, where the first was conducted in 1923 and the last in 2011.
