The show “Report” on Italian Radio and Television has for days attracted the attention of public opinion in Albania, evoking both debates and retorts. After the broadcast of the material, which included an interview with the Prime Minister of Albania, Rama severely criticized the Italian program and the broadcast product, drawing parallels with the former state security.
“This experience contained a lot of mud for Albania; clay produced here, in Tirana. And all that mud exported from here to Italy and exposed on the screen of the Italian Public Service, with all kinds of names of Albanians and with suspicions unsupported by facts, without any interest for the Italian public, is an attack on the name, on the honor , on our national flag, on every Albanian and point. “RAI 3 gave two disgusting shows of half-assed investigative journalism,” Rama declared.
After the first reaction through a video, from Gjadri where the reception structures for immigrants are being prepared according to the agreement with the Italian government and alongside Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, the head of the Albanian government recalled what he describes as “mud thrown on Albania to attack the agreement between two governments”. The controversy continued on Thursday, where in a post on Twitter, the Albanian Prime Minister, while criticizing the opposition, also mentions the RAI3 program.

In response to our e-mail, a reaction came from the journalist Sigfrido Ranucci, at the same time, the leader of the well-known investigative program ‘Report’ on RAI3. In this communication, Ranucci defends his work and while referring to Arben Ahmetaj, says that he has actually been, for 15 years, one of the closest people of the Albanian Prime Minister.
