The deputy of the SP, Ilir Metaj, has reacted regarding the result of the August 4 elections in Himare, saying that he expresses “deep gratitude to the people of Terbeç, who according to him “have the intuition to feel where the homeland hurts”.
He underlined that “the latter were called by the voice of Albania on August 4, so they left their jobs and answered”, referring to their will in the Himara elections, which supported Vangjel Tavos and not Petro Gjikurija, who received only 7 votes in Tërbac.
Metaj added that they “honored Albania”, since Himara was not just a political battle for a municipality”, but “it was the work of our roots, of the blood of the ancestors, of the Albanian language” and that they voted for the candidate who told Atdhe Albania at any time, referring to the new mayor Tavo.
