Gerald Shehu planned the murder of 31-year-old Erald Nevruzi. In the evening, the author took him separately to a room where the staff rested, taking care to justify his absence at the workplace.
Then he executed it alone and with the support of two associates Daniel Qose and David Larti. The three of them stripped him, took his personal belongings, clothes, identification documents and burned them in the oven of the pizzeria. Then, with the help of the persons in question, they wrapped him in plastic and put him in the ‘Audi a8’ type vehicle and he left the hotel.
The murder happened around 1 am, the author left for Greece at 5 am, having time to go home, change, get passports and lek and leave for Greece with the Audi A8.
It is suspected that along the Dhërmi-Himarë axis, confirmed by road and business security cameras, he made a stop somewhere where he dumped the body. He made the journey from Dhërmi to Saranda in about 1 hour.
He hid the vehicle in an old warehouse near the seaport in district number 4 Sarandë and then took a taxi to Qafë Botë. There, when he crossed the border, he took another taxi towards Igoumenica.
In Igoumenica, he took the ferry to Corfu to cross to England. There were quick actions of the police of Vlora in cooperation with the Greek Interpol who exchanged information making his arrest possible.
Documentation has been sent to expedite the author’s extradition. The perpetrator and the victim are confirmed to have known each other in England and there may have been a conflict that led to the execution of the 31-year-old.
The author and the two arrested associates had been working in the same hotel for 5 years.
