The former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj, appeared this morning at the Special Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office.
He stayed less than an hour in front of the prosecutors, who also returned the hard drive of the laptop.
“Today was Friday, which is the day of presentation. I also took the hard drive with the laptop data, which was seized in my apartment on December 28,” Beqaj told the media after leaving the premises of SPAK.
For Beqaj, the measure given by the Special Court, “obligation to appear”, is in force.
The situation of the former Minister of Health worsened during November 2023, a few months after SPAK received the court’s approval for the appointment of personal security measures, arrest and imprisonment for businessman Ilir Rrapaj.
Beqaj has repeatedly stated that he only performed his duty, although on the other hand SPAK has documents, from which he suspects that Beqaj, with his actions and inactions, has misused his duty.
