The vice-president of PD, Kreshnik Çollaku, has commented on the partial Federation of the opposition, without Basha’s group, Shpëtim Idrizin and Dashamir Shehi.
Çollaku said in an interview for Report TV that PD is open to joining or collaborating with any party that opposes Rama, but they have some dividing lines.
Unconditional support for SPAK, maintaining relations with allies such as the USA and non-corrupt figures, Çollaku says that these are the three principles that PD does not violate.
“The history of coalitions is not a new history in Albania. It is their right to join, I salute them and wish success to colleagues who choose an alternative path to ours to contribute. We are open and ready to join any front that opposes Rama, but we are clear in our principles.
Positions that we have made public, unconditional relations with allies, the USA, we support SPAK without any hesitation.
We are careful to present figures that are untainted by corrupt processes. Even if we don’t join, we can coordinate the work. The differences are points of principle policy”, said Çollaku for Report TV.
Çollaku added that very soon they will present the program for the 2025 elections and the list of 140 candidates for deputies.
“With the aim of uniting the base, we are in the final stage of this process. We will immediately start two processes, the opening of the campaign for 2025, will be the presentation of the DP program and the announcement of 140 candidates who will represent the DP as deputies in the next elections”, said Çollaku.
