Four young people have been arrested by the police after they threw pyrotechnics during the opposition protest on Tuesday evening (February 20) on Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard.
In handcuffs are the young people Kindi Toli, 21 years old; Andrea Malia, 18; Bledar Kola, 37 years old; and Ismet Stefanis, 33 years old; who, according to the blue uniforms, carried out violent actions during the protest.
They are accused of throwing capsules, flares, Molotov cocktails at Police and Prime Minister employees.
In the meantime, the following citizens were criminally prosecuted while free: – A. I., 20 years old, R. Sh., 20 years old, M. M., 20 years old, M. S., 19 years old, G. P., 22 years old, and D. Th., 21 years old.
Police notification:
They carried out violent actions during yesterday’s protest, throwing pyrotechnics (capsules, flares, Molotov cocktails) at police officers and a state institution, 4 citizens were arrested in the act and 6 others were prosecuted while at large. .
Structures of Police Station No. 1, in the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, at the end of the first investigative actions carried out in relation to the acts of violence, during the protest held yesterday, on 20.02.2024, based on collected evidence, arrested the citizens in the act:
– K. T., 21 years old, A. M., 18 years old, B. K., 37 years old, and I. S., 33 years old.
Following the actions, the following citizens were criminally prosecuted in a state of freedom:
– A. I., 20 years old, R. Sh., 20 years old, M. M., 20 years old, M. S., 19 years old, G. P., 22 years old, and D. Th., 21 years old.
During the inspection of the scene, the following were seized as material evidence:
– 21 cracked flares;
– 1 plastic drum 0.5 L, filled with fuel suspected to be gasoline, with an unbroken capsule;
– 37 plastic water drums, 0.5 L;
– 6 burnt plastic canisters, with the smell of gasoline fuel;
– 3 capsules.
Also, 110 capsules were seized as material evidence, which were found on these citizens during physical checks.
