The local authorities in Larisa have decided that a street in this city will bear the name of Klaudia Alexandra Lata, the 20-year-old Albanian who lost her life in the railway accident in Tempi.
The route will be in the Nea Smyrni area, near the church of Saint Dhimtri, where Klaudia grew up. The girl was an excellent student of Medicine at Aristotelis University of Thessaloniki.
Klaudia’s teachers remember her as one of the most special students of the school, excellent in all years. Klaudia lost her life after the train collision in Tempi, on the night of February 28, 2023, returning from the carnival of Patra to Thessaloniki.
In a statement to the media, Klaudia’s parents remember how they asked her to stay in Larissa for a few days to relax, since there would be no lessons, but Klaudia refused because she wanted to study. Klaudia Lata is one of the 4 Albanian victims and among the 60 young people who lost their lives in the terrible accident, for which no one has yet been convicted by Greek justice.
