Through tears, pedagogue Nora Malaj narrated the sad story of the parents of the late Sokol Olldashi, who were forced to separate in the communist regime.
In the Top Story studio, Nora Malaj told the shocking story of how Sokol Olldash’s mother was punished because of her father and was ordered to separate or be deported. In the end they both separated and also separated the two boys from each other.
“In our family there was a couple who needed each other very much. My father worked with her husband, mine was friends with the lady who had been in Tirana and came to Durrës. We children were almost the same age, we were two girls and two boys. The lady was punished for the father and the couple had to separate.
The lady worked in Tirana, she was a journalist, she didn’t want to share it but there was nowhere to meet her. They used to meet at our house, I would watch the eight so-and-so coming and say what they are going to do, they said if you don’t separate they will be exiled. There came a moment when my father and Vangjelin were discovered and a big trial was held in the military institution, my father was punished more. The story is that lady went to live in the village, she was forced to marry someone else.
The two children were also separated, I will never forget the drama experienced by those children and the parents who were separated even though they had to. The whole city wanted to protect them but didn’t know how, this is the story of the parents of the desolate Sokol Olldash who went through such a great drama,” said Nora Malaj.
