A 45-year-old man was arrested by the police after being accused of stalking a 23-year-old girl. The police say that the young woman reported the man, as he opened fake profiles on social networks with derogatory content and then stalked her.
After receiving the denunciation, the police arrested the citizen G. G., 45 years old, a resident of Tirana, as part of the “Threat 2” operation.
“From the verifications carried out by the specialists of the Sector for the Investigation of Cybercrimes, it has been found that this citizen, by opening false profiles with derogatory content to the 23-year-old on social networks, has been stalking her online for a long time, bringing concern to her and her family”, the blues of the capital clarify.

Specialists of the Sector for the Investigation of Cybercrimes in DVP Tirana, after the report made by a 23-year-old woman, that a citizen had opened false profiles on social networks, with derogatory content, and harassed her online for a long time, brought worries to her and her family members, they immediately organized the work to identify and catch the author.
As a result, after a very fast, dynamic and genuine investigation, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office of Tirana, within the coded police operation “Threat 2”, the citizen G. G., 45 years old, resident in Tirana, was detained.
From the verifications carried out by the specialists of the Sector for the Investigation of Cybercrimes, it has been found that this citizen, by opening false profiles with derogatory content to the 23-year-old on social networks, has been stalking her online for a long time, brought concern to her and her family.
The procedural materials for this case were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
