Prime Minister Edi Rama, in his speech in parliament, referring to the export of waste, said that in every document it appears that these wastes are not dangerous. Rama said that it is not the politicians who separate the implementation of the law from its violation.
First, Rama described Bardhi’s request as a continuation of long-standing “slanders” and exploiting the regulations of the deputy’s mission.

As he emphasized that the competent bodies are investigating what so far is only a suspicion, the head of the government added that these goods, based on the verifications carried out, do not turn out to be dangerous.
“Since it is not playing with me, but with the nerves and sensibilities of the Albanians who are now being told about Albania as a dangerous cesspool, I have the obligation to bring some simple facts. Then only the investigation can bring definitive answers. Has the export been carried out? According to the data made public, in every statement, document, it is very clear that the export of the goods in question is not the export of hazardous waste.
The customs practice has attached the certificate from the EU laboratory. The declared goods were transported from the port of Durrës to the European ports with all relevant documentation through reputable containers. They stayed and were temporarily stored in EU countries, where no one prevented them. From verifications, goods with such classification are not considered as hazardous waste even in the European catalogs. The same applies from the point of view of port legislation and maritime transport. These goods are not classified as dangerous goods. At best it is illogical, at worst we are dealing with an ossypathological allusion, alluded to by the polluting sources of political or media Tirana.”
