During the meeting with the pensioners in Durrës, a former miner, retired several years ago, asked Prime Minister Edi Rama to be allowed to work.
Rama explained that people with special statuses receive special treatment, which is a fund of 270 euros, from which miners also benefit.

Citizen: Yes, but why doesn’t he let us work. That the coffers are full. Don’t blame the Institute. Be good men, think of pensioners.
Rama: We approved the miner’s status a long time ago, and it is not a coincidence that miners come out 10 years before others. Even the benefits are there, in the status.
