The head of the Special Prosecution Office, Altin Dumani, said that he and his colleagues have been threatened because of their duty.
During his speech at the ceremony marking the 5th anniversary of the establishment of SPAK, Dumani said that the independence of the institution where they perform their duties is as important as the integrity of each of them.
He said that despite any threats or slander, they have sworn to serve the country and the Albanians.
“We have faced attempts to undermine our work, with insults, slander, threats against us or our families. But in the face of these, we have come together as a single body of colleagues. We have understood how important the independence of the institution where we perform our duties is and how important the integrity of each of us is. If anyone thinks otherwise, they are mistaken. We have sworn to serve the country, Albanian justice and Albanian citizens,” said Dumani.
