The judge of the Court of Tirana, Arnisa Kelliçi, has been threatened with her life and for this reason she has requested protection from the High Judicial Council.
In the letter she addressed to the KLGj, she informs them that the threatening letter arrived this Saturday, when the date is 20.01.2024.
Excerpts from the threatening letter:
Dear Arnisa.
You have two children ….. and ….. Think about them!
How can you live, and not them, and this is true.
The letter is thought to have come from the prison, as in the face of this threat, judge Arnisa Kelliçi has asked the High Judicial Council to grant him special protection.
“A few days ago I was informed by the Chancellor of this Court that against me, Judge Arnisa Kēlliçi, there was a threat to my life.
I have no evidence for this fact, but I have been informed that there is a report filed by the Chancellor of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana.
Today, 20.01.2024, I received a threatening letter, which as far as I can decipher
contains threats to me, my children and my family.
I cannot at any time attest to the authenticity of this letter
Having said that, for any eventuality, I ask for a special protection, as much as you deem necessary”, is written in the full letter of Judge Arnisa Kelliçi addressed to the KLJ.
