The Electoral Reform Commission held an online meeting this Friday, with the purpose of hearing non-governmental organizations about their proposals. The leader of this meeting was Damian Gjiknuri, who introduced all the participants, while saying that everyone’s time should not exceed 15 minutes.

Enkelejd Alibeaj, who is co-chairman of this commission, gave his opening speech where he said that it would be good if, in addition to the description, they submit their proposals in writing.

“I apologize for not holding this meeting a few days ago, for reasons that are already known. I trust I have your understanding and this is a way that will give you the opportunity to express your views on what the Electoral Reform commission should discuss. It would be good if, in addition to describing what you think, you submit in written form the materials that you will produce during this period”, said Alibeaj.

Present at this online meeting were the Coalition for Reforms, Integration and Consolidated Institutions, Premto Gogo; Association for Democratic Culture, Gerta Meta; Institute for political studies, Afrim Krasniqi; Academy of Political Studies, Erion Tase; American Democratic Institute, Dritan Plepi; The Citizen Center represented by Rigels Xhemollari, the Shpreson political movement, the Albanian Community of Helsinki, the Social Justice Organization, Albania Becomes, as well as the Network of Equality in Decision-Making.
