The Mayor of Kolonja, Erion Isai, is today at the premises of the Special Prosecutor’s Office. He has been reported to SPAK by Esmerald Xhafa, for committing several criminal offenses.
Upon leaving the Special Prosecutor’s Office, he told the media that he provided additional clarifications regarding a file from 2023, but did not provide more details.
He also stated that he was in the capacity of a declarant at SPAK.
“I provided some additional explanations from 2023, I do not know if I should say the case I was in, I provided some additional explanations and I was a declarant”, stated Isai.
Let us recall that the SP mayor has been questioned before at SPAK. He was questioned for 3 hours by the Special Prosecutors on May 30, 2023.
“It is an old event, it has nothing to do with the municipality’s tenders. I was summoned as a person aware of an event. It has nothing to do with electoral crimes, or with a concrete event from a long time ago, where the Municipality was not involved with a direct public tender, but as an institution that cooperates and has knowledge. It is up to the prosecution to decide who it is investigating, I was asked as a person who has knowledge. The investigators were in a good mood, why shouldn’t they be in a good mood? It was my first time in the prosecution, it was nice,” he said at the time after leaving SPAK.
