The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has chosen this weekend to visit the city of Shkodra, in the north of Albania. He stopped at the house of the great master, the great composer Zef Çoba, who composed symphonies and contemporary national anthems.
Zef Çoba’s signature is carried by songs such as “Xhamadani Vija-Vija” and the song “Atdheut”, which was a fraternal greeting from Shkodra to Kosovo in 2009, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the declaration of Kosovo’s independence.
“In his home-studio, between journeys in the memory of stories, experiences and experiences, it is a pleasure to hear about the combination of songs between Kosovo and Albania, as in the case between Gjakova and Shkodra, which quite often have friendly disagreements on the authorship of where certain songs belong”, writes Kurti.
The Prime Minister of Kosovo says that this is the right moment to talk about the Prishtina-Durres railway, at the heart of which would be the Gjakovë-Shkodër segment.
“To unite these two emblematic cities of our nation even more than songs, and to enjoy faster and closer to each other the great cultural-artistic assets as well as the national and historical values that both carry”, follows Albin Kurti.
