The cousin of Aurelio Dervish, the 18-year-old who was killed in Shkoza with a knife on the evening of March 31, has told how the serious event happened.
The young man, who was also the driver, tells the show “Me Zemër te Hapur” of the moderator Evis Aheti, that he was driving the car, with Aurelio, his brother and two girls.
While they were returning from Farka, at the Shkoza roundabout, a parallel car came to them at the traffic light where they had stopped.
There started a fight between them, which then escalated where the perpetrators pulled out a knife and hit Aurelio, who, according to the witness, was found injured on the other side of the road.
Aurelio Dervish’s cousin: I went to that bar and took it myself. We were at the neighborhood around 8 o’clock. I remember that I was with Aurelio since 2 o’clock, at one point I ran away, then he called me. Mario, who was with me, went home and I went to take Aurelio to drink the coffee we used to drink every day. We went to the bar where we always went, there was no room. We parked the car and went to another place. After drinking coffee we went out and met the girls who were friends of Aurelio. One 16 and the other 17 years old. It was the first time we met, we saw them from afar.
We took them, we went to the Farka Lake road, then we were coming to Shkoza to go down to leave the girls who were with us. At that moment, when we were about to leave the road to enter Shkoza, Aurelio told me to enter the highway. Around Shkoza, I was the only one at the traffic light. When we were waiting, 50 meters down we would stop to let the girls off.
There comes the authors car, I had the window half open, we are laughing about our conversations. At that moment he told us ‘why are you laughing’. I raised the window and started walking. The perpetrators made a zigzag and blocked our way. They got off and came to the car. We also went down and started to conflict. They don’t run away because apparently they were about to do something to us. The moment we stopped, the girl said ‘I was with this driver, you will fight’. Then they also hit Aurelio, and then we don’t know what happened. As we have seen, he was hitting me too, but the knife fell to the ground.
Aurelio was on the other side of the road. The fight continued, but we ran to our friend. We tried to lift it but we couldn’t. I called the people but no one came for 2-3 minutes. Then someone came and helped us, we were going to put him in the car but the ambulance came, but what happened on the way to the hospital. We do not know that we have not heard about these problems.
