The changes made in the government by Prime Minister Edi Rama have received increased attention from the public, while the name of the new minister, who is more curvaceous, is associated with Blendi Gonxhen.
The latter has been entrusted with a more extensive management, uniting three ministries into one. He was appointed head of the Ministry of Culture, Economy and Innovation.
But how should this election of Prime Minister Edi Rama be read? Regarding this tactic or political plan of Rama, the analyst Mentor Nazarko clarified in the “Real Story” studio in front of the journalist Sokol Balla.
“It is a novelty, that a ministry with three portfolios becomes one, it is a novelty for the history of Albania. Through Blend, which he knows before, he wants someone to be a quick, executive and quality decision-maker and in these three portfolios gathered in one, he wanted to communicate in an entrepreneur and these are three priorities and three areas . It required a strong decision-making, direct communication of these three portfolios with one, with someone he knows, who he trusts and who chose Gonxhe. He did not want to increase the number of ministries, those ministerial portfolios, so as not to increase expenses. Three in one, because as I said, he wants to have an interlocutor in the executive, who is well-proven in these areas, which he has as priorities in this remaining part of the mandate,” he said.
He added that the merging of three ministries into one is a rare case in history, while in Mentor Nazarko’s memory there are only two states before Albania that have followed this model.
“Iceland and Nigeria have such a ministry, which unites three in one,” he said.
