The suspected author of yesterday’s murder of the police officer in Fier, Azgan Mërnica, was among the supporters of DP deputy Luan Baçi in the 2021 elections.
A photo of the democratic deputy with a group of his supporters was published in the media 3 years ago, including Mërnica, where Baçi writes that “With such guys there is only victory. We are ready for vote protection”.
Regarding this photo published today, democratic MP Luan Baçi reacted during the protest in front of Tirana City Hall.
He said that in 2021 Azgan Mërnica was an honest citizen, as he condemned the murder the day before.
“I know Azgan Mërnica. In 2021, he took photos with me, he was not a criminal, but family and honest. I condemn his action. Express regret. You try in vain to impress me with such pictures. Some patronageists and bravistas who have come to us now, I am Luan Baçi and I am not attracted by SPAK, BKH or any other pressure. The citizens of Tirana and Albania should be here every day”, said Luan Baçi.
