Naim Murseli, the husband of Liridona Ademaj and two other people, Kushtrim Kokalla and Granit Plava, will continue to remain in custody for another two months.
The Basic Court of Pristina has decided that the three suspected perpetrators of the murder of Liridona Ademaj remain in jail until October 25.
“I inform you that the defendants N.M, G.P and K.K have been extended the measure of detention for two months by the Act of 23.08.2024, which measure will be calculated from 26.08.2024 to 25.10.2024, under the conditions legal provisions provided for in the KPCK”, says the court’s response.
Initially, the Basic Court in Pristina on December 3, 2023, ordered the three suspects to be detained for a duration of 30 days, which decision was also upheld by the Court of Appeal.
The fourth suspect in this case, T.D., was ordered to be detained on December 11, 2023. He was arrested on December 9, on suspicion of selling the gun to Doras.
For him, the Supreme Court had decided to end his detention and protect him in freedom after he filed an appeal against the decisions of two lower courts which kept him in detention.
The motives for the murder of Ademaj, who had Swedish citizenship with her husband and two sons, are still unknown.

Granit Plava testified earlier to the police that he received 15 thousand euros from Naimi to kill his wife, while he would receive the rest after the crime. In the statement made by the court, it is said that Naim Murseli gave the gun to Granti Pllava and staged the robbery. He appeared in front of the car in which Naim Murseli was traveling with Liridona and the two children. The husband left with the children, while Granti Plava shot Liridona in exchange for 30,000 euros.
