It has been a year since the tragic accident in Greece, where two passenger trains collided with each other in the area of Tempe, killing 57 passengers and leaving dozens more injured.
Today (February 28), the families of the victims have gathered at the place where the tragic accident happened, to commemorate their relatives.
Touching moments have been recorded by the Greek media, when a woman approaches the place where her child died, while saying “my love, I can’t believe I won’t see you again! Where are you?”
“Justice will come as soon as the perpetrators are put in prison,” said the father of one of the victims, emphasizing that all the relatives are experiencing a pain that will never go away.
The relatives and friends of the 57 dead left flowers at the site of the crash, while they demanded justice and accountability for the perpetrators of this tragedy.
Earlier at 10am, across Greece, church bells rang 57 times, one for each person killed in the train crash.
The request was made by the president of the Tempo 2023 Victims’ Family Association, Maria Karystianou, to the Holy Archdiocese of Athens and the Holy Metropolitans of the Church of Greece.
