Before the start of the new session of the Assembly today at 17:00, Bledi Çuçi has gathered the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party. In the speech held before the deputies, he made a summary of the past parliamentary session, which he described as atypical due to the attitude of the opposition with blockades and scenes of violence.
Çuçi said that the changes in the Rules of the Parliament aim to discipline the progress of the sessions as he asked the SP deputies to be present in the sessions in order not to violate the quorum and the voting of the laws. Further, the head of the Parliamentary Group of the SP asked the MPs to increase the quality of the debates in the Parliament and active participation of the MPs.
“For this session, I especially want the approach that our group should have regarding integration. In the conditions where we already have a European agenda, the focus is not only on the government, but also on other constitutional institutions. We as a parliamentary group in this session must be an accountable instrument of independent institutions. Let’s create a mechanism for independent institutions to have a special focus on the recommendations given by the EU”, said Çuçi, among other things.
Regarding today’s session, he said that the decrees for the new ministers are also expected to be passed, so participation in the vote should not be missed. Çuçi expressed regret for the positions of the opposition so far, which has warned that it will continue with attempts to block parliamentary life.
We remind you that the opposition of Re-establishment, together with the MPs who support Gazment Bardhin, have once again warned of blocking the work of the session.
